Acting On Inspiration
by Ron Tatar
Good words are something actors love. I have always liked finding quotes, thoughts and sayings and sharing them with people I thought might enjoy them. Each month I will share some words that have inspired me, given me understanding and helped me keep things in perspective when times were rocky.
The birth of man is the birth of his sorrow. The longer he lives, the more stupid he becomes, because his anxiety to avoid unavoidable death becomes more and more acute. What bitterness! He lives for what is always out of reach! His thirst for survival in the future makes him incapable of living in the present.
Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels---men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, we may never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion.

"Why aren't you dancing with joy at this very moment? is the only relevant spiritual question."

A little girl was standing with her grandfather by an old-fashioned open well. They had just lowered a bucket to draw some water to drink. "Grandfather," asked the little girl, "where does God live?" The old man picked up the little girl and held her over the open well. "Look down into the water," he said, "and tell me what you see. "I see myself," said the little girl. "That's where God lives," said the old man. "He lives in you."
